As the Cross Cars are Motorsport Australia log booked as a Formula Libre, the karts can compete in all the following events:
  • Autocross
  • Hillclimb
  • Sprint Races
  • Track days

The best, and most competitive place to race these is in our national cross car series.

Not at all, it roughly takes around 3 hours. You typically need to change the tyres and springs.

Depending on the track, you will also need to adjust the ride height, therefore realign the camber, toe etc.

The Cross cars are very safe, the chassis is a fully enclosed cockpit style that is homologated and approved by the FIA. The harness is 6 point with a comfortable Sparco bucket seat. There is also a bulk head fitted to prevent any fire from the engine entering the cockpit.

This depends on the gearing fitted and the track. For example, on the back straight at Winton Raceway it is possible to hit over 200km per hour. However, at an Autocross event, the max speed that would be possible is more like 110km per hour due to the tight and twisty track.

As the karts are powered by a motorcycle engine, the gearing is changed similarly via a front and rear sprocket.
